.Webinar Date and Time:

Mon, May 31, 2021 19:00 PM – 21:00 PM (GMT)

Description :
This workshop will present the current neuroscientific research on the brain development of babies and young children. We will explore how the quality of the emotional availability and responsiveness of the adults around babies and young children, has a powerful impact on how the structure and function of the brain and nervous system are shaped for healthy development across learning, social and emotional domains. Parents will also gain an understanding of how a child’s unique temperament can contribute to social and emotional struggles.

Hosted by: Denzil Jacobs and Christina Enright

About Chrisna Enright

BSc Psychology, MA Child Psychotherapy, Dip in Family Therapy,
Over the past 15 years Christina has worked as a psychotherapist with children, adolescents and families. She has a special interest in brain development, trauma and parent-child attachment; in particular how parenting impacts on the global development, mental health and personality of a child, as well as how this affects behaviour across the lifespan.
She believes it is crucial that every parent is equipped with knowledge from Neuroscience and child-parent attachment research in the hope that through recognising the impact of social relationships on the development of a baby and young child’s brain, adults will understand how engaging with them, particularly during times of stress, will support the growth of healthy and integrated brains, minds and bodies, and therefore maximise a child’s resilience.
Christina has a wide range of experience of training, within the NHS in UK, education and within social care systems both in UK and Ireland.
Christina’s presentation style is engaging and conversational and the subject matter will be accessible and applicable to people across all walks of life.
