What people have to say about Denzil's OT practice.
Thank you also for the very informative workshop last weekend. I have told my friends and colleagues who are parents, teachers and snas all about your fantastic workshop! I am fascinated with the detail you explained about the brain and how it links to Charlie's sensory needs. You have really helped me to understand my child better.
Having attended your workshop, I am now more aware than ever of the urgent need to implement a sensory diet for Charlie. We would love to meet with you when you have availability. We should be able to attend a cancellation if one should arise.
Many thanks again.

Incredibly positive impact on our son's development.
Our son has a diagnosis of autism and attends Denzil Jacob’s Occupational Therapy Practice weekly.
Denzil’s OT intervention has been a lifeline for our son and indeed for our whole family.
Denzil has a warm caring attitude and an exemplary respectful demeanor. He displays a firm yet fair approach and amazing energy and skill. He possesses a wealth of knowledge regarding autism and developmental delays in children, and he freely shares his knowledge and expertise.
Denzil Jacob’s Occupational Therapy Practice has helped us to realise the extremely beneficial effects OT has on children like our son. This is amplified by the time and care Denzil takes to assess the individual, tailoring exercises and interventions to meet the individual’s needs.
Suffice to say that Denzil Jacob’s Occupational Therapy Practice has had, and continues to have, an incredibly positive impact on our son’s development, indeed improving his whole life journey.

It was the best decision we made for our son and ourselves. After our little boy was diagnosed with Autism we went through all the emotions. We tried all the various diets and therapies, HSE and private, from gluten-free to a faith healer.
Then a friend of ours recommended Denzil Jacobs, we thought let’s give him a try. It was the best decision we made for our son and ourselves.
In a nutshell Denzil is an Occupational Therapist who specialises in Autism. But Denzil is much more than that, he explained in plain language what was going on with our son, he tailored his exercises to address our sons’ sensory issues, which has seen a huge improvement in his behaviours and he is in such a better place now and so are we. In Denzil we also found a therapist who has given us encouragement, inspiration, motivation and optimism. We highly recommend Denzil

Our son runs into his sessions with Denzil every week. Denzil is our sons OT for the past seven years. Denzils sessions are always good humoured, very physical and focused on developing our son’s key skills and ability to self-regulate. Denzil understands autism but sees beyond it to what the person is capable of. He uses visual cues and gives clear instructions which is most helpful. Our son is nonverbal and has gross motor/fine motor difficulties but now he enjoys playing basketball, running and cycling his bike ….and we attribute this to Denzil. Over the years Denzil has seamlessly adapted and changed his individual program introducing new challenges to further develop his strengths whilst working on areas for development.
Denzil has amazing equipment to support all kinds of therapy from swings, to stationary bikes to treadmills but equally you can apply the exercises and games at home using very little equipment. Over the Covid19 lockdown our son missed his weekly sessions, but it was great to see him doing the exercises he had learned over the past years to help regulate himself. As he has gotten older, he has developed a self-awareness of his feelings and uses his therapy ball/trampoline/chewy as required.
I think the greatest judge of a successful therapist is the child themselves. Our son runs into his sessions with Denzil every week. He is also smiling as he leaves! To observe the fun and laughter, and their lovely bond in the midst of all the hard work taking place is a pleasure. Denise Keegan, Naas, Co. Kildare
